Excellent question! Naturopathic Medicine is a system of healing practiced worldwide.
It is rooted in a few key principles:
Naturopathic Medicine seeks to identify and treat the underlying cause of illness.
Symptoms are an important part of your story. But prescribing a quick fix for your symptoms won't produce lasting results. Naturopathic Doctors focus on the imbalances at the root of your health issues.
Naturopathic Medicine is patient-centered.
Naturopathic Doctors treat people - not conditions. Naturopathic Doctors recognize that everyone is different. What promotes healing is unique to each of us, so to treat successfully, you have to treat the whole person.
Naturopathic Medicine works with the body, not against it.
Our bodies have the ability to heal. Naturopathic Doctors use a variety of natural, non-suppressive therapies to support this ability.
Naturopathic Medicine focuses on prevention.
Naturopathic Doctors educate and empower their patients. Armed with a better understanding of our health, we can make better choices and we can thrive.
Are you accepting New Patients?
Yes, I am! Prospective patients must be California residents.
Due to Covid, only video visits are currently available.
Do you accept insurance?
No. Naturopathic Doctors are out-of-network providers in California.
Payment by credit card is due at the time of service.
You may request a medical receipt (Superbill) for submission to your insurance company. Some insurance plans have out-of-network benefits allowing for the reimbursement of Naturopathic services.
Do you accept FSAs or HSAs?
Yes. Your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) – or Health Savings Account (HSA) – will cover office visits. And these accounts may be used to pay for lab work not covered by your insurance.
Most FSA and HSA plans will also pay for prescribed supplements.

Can you be my Primary Care Provider (PCP)?
No. Naturopathic Insights does not provide primary care services. I encourage all my patients to establish a relationship with a local PCP. They will oversee your annual health screenings, medication management, and acute healthcare needs.
